Here’s what we’ll need from you:

1. Original Registration Document From Country Of Origin For The Vehicle
2. If You Are Not The Registered Owner On the Original Registration Document, You Will Also Need To Provide Either A Purchase Agreement or Invoice In Your Name
3. Proof Of Identity (Passport and NIE or T.I.E.)
4. Proof Of Spanish Address
5. Current Vehicle Insurance
6. The Vehicle

Once we have the items listed above, we will be able to raise the temporary paperwork to take the vehicle for its Spanish roadworthy test.

If your vehicle is from a country outside of the EU, the customs tax will have to be paid before it will be allowed to have the roadworthy test.

Once the test has been completed, the new documentation for the car will be produced. At this point, the vehicle owner must declare and pay the taxes relating to the registration of the vehicle. 

Once the taxes are paid, all the documentation created so far will be taken to the DGT (Directorate-General de Trafico), the vehicle licensing office, whereby the new registration number will be issued and the ownership documents will be produced for your vehicle.
